We’re having the art center blessed this July 24th, and so Teacher Hannah, Teacher Jen, and I decided to just make an event out of it. And so we’re inviting everyone to our GlobalArt Katipunan Art Party, where we’ll essentially just be inviting everyone to come in an draw! We’ll be providing pens and paper and coloring materials, and for those who are interested, we’ll give free art lessons too.
In many ways, it’s an extension of the Start Here Sketch-a-thon Lorra and I organized last year, to raise funds and generate artwork for charity. I just like the idea of people coming to create works of art in one place. All that creative energy! If all goes well, I just might make this an annual thing.
Plus! Free food, giveaways, and raffle prizes throughout the day! So drop by and say hi if you can, and help us spread the word! Hope to see you there!

Oh, website, how I missed you! Oh, internet, how I missed you!
Now that I’ve (more or less) fully recovered from my wrist injury, I can return to updating the site more often, as well as tweaking the website. In my absence though, I’ve gotten into Tumblr and Twitter, because they’re both oh-so easy to do from the iPhone. So, you can now follow me on Twitter, or follow me on Tumblr.
Soon as you’ve done that, what I think may be the longest interview I’ve ever done has been published on The Philippine Online Chronicles: the three-part “The Secret Origin of Elbert Or,” by Fidelis Tan.

Global Art is opening its new center in Katipunan this Saturday, March 20, and we’re inviting you to join our international art and creativity program designed to help children 4 and up to develop their fullest potential! (And lest you think there’s an age limit — one of our first students is 53 years old!) Free trial sessions will be offered to all those who drop by starting March 20, but if you visit us on Saturday from 10am-6pm, we’ll have more super-cool, special freebies waiting for you!
Global Art Katipunan is at Unit CU-4 Prince David Condominium, Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City, right across Ateneo. Center hours are 10am-6pm, and is open from Mondays to Saturdays.

Are you a pushover parent? Have you ever given in when you shouldn’t have? Do your kids have you wrapped around their cute, chubby fingers? Putting your foot down should not mean having to step on anyone’s toes. This workshop, using tried and tested techniques from the world of business, equips parents like you with the tools to turn arguments into agreements. These techniques serve to empower parents and help to encourage dialogue between parents and children, and help foster a more harmonious family dynamic.

I’ve recently been doing a number of shirt designs for various places, among them new shirt brand Spiffy, which has its online home over at Spiffy.ph. Here are the first three shirt designs I made for them, including the first-ever Bakemono High shirt, based on the comic strip series I write and draw for K-Zone Magazine.
There’s a ton of other spiffy shirts over at Spiffy, so why not give their site a look-see?
